Jen Kleiner, MFA, CPLC

Jen Kleiner is an award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She has directed, produced and/or written numerous short narrative and documentary films, as well as brand videos for companies ranging from Ford Motors, to Burberry and Adidas. She is a three-time semi-finalist for the CineStory Foundation screenwriting competition and has had two screenplays optioned by Aaron Magnani Productions (The Last Word). Niña Quebrada (Broken Girl), Jen's narrative short about sex trafficking in LA, won several awards on the festival circuit including best short film, best screenplay, best female director, and best actress. It was also nominated for Best Short Film and Best Actress at the 2008 Imagen Awards.

Jen holds a B.A. in Film and Digital Media from UC Santa Cruz and an M.F.A. in Directing from American Film Institute Conservatory. She started out in commercial and music video production at Squeak Pictures, before becoming an assistant to writer/director/producer, Clive Barker, and eventually Director of Development at Master Notions Entertainment. Formerly a celebrity fashion stylist and freelance brand manager with companies such as Calvin Klein and Burberry, Jen leveraged her experience to direct and produce a short documentary, “Burberry Girls,” which follows the 2011 Burberry celebrity services team through awards season and features Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul.

Currently, Jen is directing and producing a documentary about human multiplicity featuring pop star Alanis Morissette and world renowned psychologists, Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk & Dr. Dick Schwartz. She is also prepping to direct "Heirloom," a short film by screenwriter Amy Roy, as well as a parody music video called "Dildos on Ice" for comedic duo Ellen Burns and Elena Fisher.
